SEVEN THOUSAND DEATH PEOPLE

Dozens of villages were swept away by the passage of Hurricane Mitch.
Wave of destruction Damage is estimaed in the tens of million of dollars, the economies of Nicaragua, Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras under strain. The first reports out of these countries where the fourth most powerful Hurricane has battered Central America. The worst off is Honduras, where it is estimated over 5000 victims, and surely more to be uncovered. Most of the bodies are covered by, mud and debris which make it difficult for task-forces in the rescue efforts. Nicaragua is not much better off where at least 1500 bodies are lying at the base of the Casita Volcano, covered by approximately 48 square kilometres of earth and mud.
Deep water The heavy rainfall which created natural lake within the volcanos crater created so much pressure on the inside bursting the mountain wiping-out everything in its path.Wiping-out everything in its path. Rescue teams are having difficulty also due to the enormous amount of copses resulting in infections and epedimics. The Internetional Red Cross has tripled its help to an economic amount of 7,4 million dollars. Bill Clinton announced that the United States will contribute with 2 million dollars in medical and food aid. Town Swimming Although hurricane Mitch has been down-classed to a
tropical storm, observes have stated that its not over yet with most rivers 10 times their normal volume, swallowing everything in their passage. Guatemala officially has counted 14 victims, and another 12 protestant missionaries killed in a plane crash.
