 TourismAlthough the great summer the Swedish tourism had a deficit of minus 90 million Swedish crons a day, during the summer. That shows in the latest trading balance statistic from "Riksbanken" (The Bank of Sweden). It plainly shows that travelling streams in and out of Sweden becomes a minus deal. But that Sweden has a deficit in the travelling balance is normal. In later years the travelling currency has increased steady. Because of the devalue 1992 it became cheaper for tourists to travel in Sweden and it became more expensive for Swedes to travel abroad. The summer of 1999 was in fact a good summer for the Swedish tourism. It increased with 8 %, to 23 millions, compared with the same period 1998. From which countries do the tourists come to visit Sweden? The Norwegian and the Germans are obviously the most common tourists in Sweden. They have three times more sleepovers then the Danish and the Dutchmen. 
This diagram show how many tourists that come and leave Sweden during the years from 1991-1999. You can see that in later years, it has increased and that is good for Sweden. Why has tourists increased ? We think it’s because people have more money and more time. And they want to relax and explore new things. What do you think?
