 My millennium experience

The build up to the millennium was intense.  Everyone was making a huge deal about it.  If you turned on the television there was always something to be said about what was going to happen.  There was talk about computers crashing,  airplanes falling out of the sky and “The Millennium bug”.  None of these expectations happened but I had a great time.

 

I had had many ideas about the way in which I would spend my Millennium these ranged from going to Central London to spending the evening in Manchester with my brother and sister celebrating in the street.  I finally chose where I was to go on the actual night of the Millennium.  I chose to go to a house party a few miles away from my house.

 

I arrived at the party with my friends at around 7:00 p.m. and by 10:00 p.m. the atmosphere was really livening up.  There was lots to drink and everyone was happy the build up was helped along with banging music and a close by television showing what was going on at the same time in other countries.

 

Suddenly it was 11:50 and everyone was getting very drunk and very excited.  We all rushed outside as the climax got closer.  Everyone grabbed the nearest drink and the count down begun 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.  There were hugs and cheers, whistles and shouts it was amazing.  The atmosphere was immense, everyone was full of joy and the Millennium had lived up to it’s experience.

 

The Celebrations continued right through the early hours of the morning. The Millennium experience was a good time for all.
